ABOUT US
Senior living at the Villa is a setting for people who will benefit from assistance with activities of daily living and socialization opportunities. Our setting allows residents to retain maximum independence by having the help that they need to meet a variety of health concerns. We create individualized service plans to help with mobility, balance and keeping abreast of current events.
The majestic Victorian mansion elegantly reflects the grandeur of earlier times when the textile baron, Gustav Oberlander, entertained heads of state and visiting dignitaries from overseas. The rich European craftmanship is evident throughout the flowing library, ballroom and formal dining rooms.
The popular back patio fills the senses with a panoramic view of the manicured acreage framed by the exotic trees imported from around the country. This pastoral setting is home to the holiday barbecues for the residents and their families, as well as special events as weddings, concerts on the green and artists' festivals.
The Villa has been family owned and operated since 2000. The family has committed themselves, their staff and the lovely property to providing a warm and loving home for the residents of the Villa - their extended family.
COMMUNITY
The Villa is surrounded by the beautiful residential communities of Wyomissing and West Reading. One block away is the historic Reading Museum with its year-round schedule of exhibits and its very popular nature walkways. Immediate medical assistance is but two blocks away at the nationally renown Reading Hospital and Medical Center. The RHMC and the Villa work closely together in their efforts to insure the immediate availability of the very best medical attention for the Villa residents.

Many residents enjoy the robust weather of the Spring and Summer by shopping at the quaint shops or relaxing at the neighboring swimming complex of the town of West Reading. A five-minute Villa shuttle bus ride away is the prominent Sovereign Center with its full schedule of concerts, sporting events, theatrical performances, etc. The Villa has a history of supporting a variety of local agencies, town services and national causes. We do this to improve our local community and build relationships with our neighbors. Our goal is to support causes which will benefit our residents, neighbors or the community.
